I was born in Liverpool, and moved around many times but I settled in Leeds, in Yorkshire, around 17 years ago. Some of my pictures in other categories, eg Nature and Personal, were taken locally also. Every August bank holiday, the West Indian community of Leeds organise a carnival. It's very popular and well attended by the local multicultural community. I have the good fortune to live along the route of the carnival procession, so I've included here some photos I took at Carnival 1998.
